Tokyo, Japan December 22, 2022 – Brave group Inc. has announced the establishment of a new management structure to assist in furthering business development and fortify corporate governance.
- Additional DetailsBrave group Inc. engages in various ventures centering around the Metaverse, including our IP businesses the “RIOT MUSIC” Virtual Music Agency, and the next generation Virtual eSports Project “Vspo!,” and have even developed their own Metaverse platform, the “Brave Engine.”
Three new directors to our board, including an outside direction, will allow us to further increase the quality and speed of management’s decision making, and then being able to follow through with swift implementation even as our business rapidly diversifies.
In addition to these newly appointed directors, one full-time corporate auditor and two outside corporate auditors have been established. We aim to strengthen our corporate governance through the newly appointed Board of Directors and the Board of Corporate Auditors, as we also strive towards business expansion.
Subsidiary Appointment Details:
Brave group Inc. appointed Yuichi Kita as the director of the Metaverse focused MetaLab, Inc. in April 2022, and Koki Takeda to SuperYellow Inc. in July of 2022. We’re also pleased to announce Yoji Yamamoto as the new director of Virtual Entertainment Inc., each appointment set to further strengthen the individual subsidiaries and our overall business.

After retiring from a major job advertising company, he conducted buyouts of several enterprises. At Periplus Corporation (now Cyberknot Inc.), as the President and CEO , he conducted two mergers and acquisitions. He founded Virtual Entertainment Inc. in 2019, becoming its representative director. In 2022, he joined Brave group Inc. through a business merger, and was appointed to his current position of Director in July 2022. He is also the Representative Director of Brave group Inc.’s subsidiaries MateReal Inc., And Epoch Inc., and Game & Co.
Takehiro Yamaguchi
Outside Director
Engaged with venture capital at Mirai Securities Co., Ltd. He also forayed into startup investment, partnership fortification, and mergers and acquisitions at CA MOBILE, LTD.’s CVC business in 2007. Yamaguchi launched his own business in 2014 and gained further experience in managing startups, venture capital, and merger and acquisitions. He returned to CA MOBILE, LTD. in 2014 and became the head of their Strategic Investment Office. Next, he founded basepartners in 2017 and became the representative partner (current position). He was appointed as an outside director of Brave group Inc. in November 2018 where he still serves.
Hiroshi Koido
Outside Director (New Appointment)
After graduating from Keio University in 2005, he joined SCSK Corporation. In 2011, he joined GREE, Inc., where he promoted capital and business alliances with major developers on the GREE Platform. He then served as their general manager for their Japan Game Business Division, overseeing business alliances. In April 2016, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Fanplex, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GREE, and also serves as a director of several other of GREE’s affiliated companies. In November 2017, he left GREE and founded Bizconcier Inc. He was appointed as an outside director of Brave group Inc. in December 2022.

Kokichi Hamaya (New Appointment)

Hamaya joined JAFCO Group Co., Ltd. in April 1992. July 2000 saw him joining Ima Corporation as the General Manager of the President’s Office. In January 2001 he joined UFJ Tsubasa Hands-On Capital Co. (now LIFULL Corporation) as the General Manager of the Corporate Planning Office. In June 2007, he was appointed Director, Executive Officer, and General Manager of the Administration Division of said company. He became the Director and General Manager of the Administration Division of Vortex Corporation in July 2016. In April 2019, he served as Executive Officer, and as the General Manager of Business Strategy, Corporate, and Listing Preparation Divisions of Looop Co. Hamaya was Appointed as Full-time Auditor of Brave group Inc. in July 2022, where he currently works.
Tetsuya Naito (New Appointment)

Naito joined KPMG Tax Corporation in October 1987, now EY Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC. He became a Certified Public Accountant in April 1991, and received a US certification from California in May 1994. Joined the Los Angeles office of KPMG Peat Marwick, now KPMG LLP in August of 1995, becoming a partner of the firm in July 1998. He joined Shin Nihon & Co.’s Tokyo Office in August 2005, now EY Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC. He was appointed as a representative member in January 2006., and Head Partner of their Corporate Planning Office in 2008. September 2012 saw his appointment as Senior Partner of the Tokyo Office. After retiring, in June 202 he joined YUKIGUNI MAITAKE Co.,Ltd. as an Audit Committee Director and Brave group Inc. as Outside Corporate Auditor the next month.
Naho Ebata (New Appointment)
Outside Corporate Auditor
Ebata registered as an attorney at law in the year 2000, and joined Abe, Ikubo & Katayama legal office. In 2004 she was appointed to the Office of Institutional Reform Deliberation of the Japanese Patent Office in the General Affairs Department of the General Affairs division. She returned to Abe, Ikubo & Katayama legal office in 2005, handling consultations and litigations regarding corporate legal affairs and intellectual property matters for clients worldwide. She’s served as an external director of the Avisto Corporation since December 2020 and as a Board Member of 3-D Matrix, Inc. since November 2022. The following month, December 2022 she joined Brave group Inc. as an outside auditor.

Takahiro Takizawa
General Manager of Global Business HQ
After studying overseas, Takizawa engaged in system consulting at Sler and mobile marketing and solutions at a mobile venture company, before starting his own business in 2008 focusing on consulting and marketing. He started up domestic affiliated companies and established overseas corporations in Great Britain, Vietnam, and Thailand that centered on global marketing and offshore development while serving as director of affiliates in both Japan and abroad. He first joined Brave group Inc. in January as General Manager of Sales and Business Promotion in January 2020. Then he was appointed to the General Manager of the Virtual IP Business Division in June 2021, and then his current position of Global Business HQ General Manager the following October.
Hitoshi Morikawa

Morikawa worked as a sales representative post graduation for a publicly traded company, where he also took part in corporate planning, investor relations, and new business development. Following time spent as a director of an HR startup, he directed a business unit at COLOPL, Inc. focusing on generating non-game revenue utilizing the company’s smartphone-game IP. With multi-faceted business experience, he joined Brave group Inc. in 2021 as General Manager of the VX Division, soon becoming the General Manager of The Sales Planning Division where he still serves.
Yasumasa Kosugi (New Appointment)

After graduating from Keio University, Kosugi worked at Fujitsu limited. before joining Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. as a sell-side analyst. At Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd., he was involved in PE fund coverage, equity capital markets, and IPO support amongst other activities. He later joined Digital Holdings Inc., where under the CFO he handled IR and finance operations. He joined Brave group Inc. in September and was appointed General Manager of the Financial Strategy division, where he still serves in addition to his December 2022 appointments as an executive officer and CFO.
Masaru Yamazaki (New Appointment)

After graduating from Tokyo University, Yamazaki joined Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. After receiving his Public Accountant certification, he engaged in statutory auditing and IPO support at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC. He worked in finance and accounting in Singapore for a time and, after returning to Japan, worked in account management for venture firms. After serving as a director of the Audit Committee at Cinnamon Inc, he joined Brave group Inc. in November 2022 and was appointed as the General Manager of the Group Business Management Division where he currently serves.

Koki Takeda has worked for a consumer game production company, a PC game production company, and a VTuber management company overseeing production, planning, PR, event planning, merchandise planning, and various other positions.He joined Brave group Inc. in 2019. After being in charge of setting up the New Business Development Department, the MD Department, and the Event Production Department, he assumed the role of producer in January 2020, developing and unleashing the RIOT MUSIC project.While serving as the direct or SuperYellow Inc., he continues to be an executive producer of RIOT MUSIC, responsible for its total execution.
Yuichi Kita (April 2022 Appointment)

After graduating from California State University, Sonoma, he worked for a digital marketing company in various capacities before joining their board of directors and pursuing a career in management. He then worked for several startup companies, focusing on business development holding key positions at Scigineer Corporation, GREE Corporation, Kaizen Platform, Riraia Digital Corporation, and Machimachi Corporation. In October 2021, he joined the Brave group Inc. then was appointed as General Manager of the President’s Office. In April 2022, he was appointed as Director of MetaLab, Inc where he currently serves.
Yoji Yamamoto (New Appointment)

Graduated from Osaka University, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology with a Master’s degree. While in school, he participated in the management and operation of PUBG practice matches, which were the largest scale in the esports scene at the time. In January 2021, he joined Virtual Entertainment Corporation, where he was involved in the construction of an auxiliary system for the operation and distribution of official esports tournaments, and contributed to the formation of the community in a wide range of ways, including producing tournaments involving overseas communities from startup to implementation. In October 2022, he was appointed as a director of Virtual Entertainment, Inc.
