Tokyo, Japan April 28, 2023 – SuperYellow, a subsidiary of Brave group who jointly run the RIOT MUSIC Virtual Music Agency, are thrilled to announce the encore stream of their April 15, 2023 Re:Volt 2023 concert set originally held at LINE Cube Shibuya to debut May 13, 2023! Additionally, the Re:Volt 2023 recap report has been made available below.

The Re:Volt 2023 Concert Report

Re:Volt 2023, the third in an annual series of live concerts hosted by RIOT MUSIC featuring their entire active talent line up! Third outing saw, pictured left to right in the above picture, Iori Matsunaga, Yuka Nagase, Suzuna Nagihara, Cocoa Domyoji, new comer Anko Asakura, and Miona Sumeragi make memories for all who attended with night of passionate singing and exclusive collaborative performances enchanting each and every fan in the room!

The concert first tore through the silence with a group-wide performance of “One for everything,” an original RIOT MUSIC anthem. Fervent swelling amongst the audience, Miona Sumeragi, pictured above, had the honor of delivering the first solo performance; A breathtaking rendition of the classic anime tune “Northern Cross.” As her voice began to leave her lips, a sea of green spread across the audience-floor as they used their penlights to cheer with all their might! After commenting on how last year’s concert was “difficult” for fans due to masking and vocal requirements and that she hoped they’d really let loose this year, she sang “I Promise You” for the first time and finished her solo performance with her original tune “St. Elmo’s Fire”. All three songs performed with the simultaneous tenderness and fullness signature to her singing style!

Iori Matsunaga was next to take the stage, and with her opening performance being her City Pop infused original “Cocktail Lights,” the stage lit up with neon and nightscape visuals, enveloping the audience in Iori’s moody tune. She even had a live saxophonist lay down a bopping solo, which the audience ate-up! Iori followed this up with a clean debut of “Eien No Kojo,” capturing a mood all with Iori flare. The audience enraptured. You can really take in Iori’s abilities not just as a singer but as a comprehensive performer. She finished off with her newest original, “Prism Shake,” which had the audience happily bobbing along.

Miona stepped back on stage to great applause, as her and Iori blessed the audience with the first duet of the night! The audience, so ready and welcoming for this rare combination, ate up their rendition of the classic Macross tune “Hitotsu Dake no Koi Nara.” The most hardcore of fans, knowing it was the first time seeing these two together, were particularly impressed by how well they accompanied one another!

Fans roared when Anko Asakura appeared on stage solo for the first time ever! More than that, she started her set with her yet-unheard first original song “Apricot Blossom Magic.”  The world turned pink as Anko’s signature color took over the stage and the audience simultaneously.  With her unique, edgy and cute vocal delivery, no one could believe it was her first time taking the stage! She danced through the lights while meddling with “High Touch☆Memory” and “fancy baby doll,” hypnotizing the audience in a kawaii-culture blanket!

As Anko Asakura finished up “fancy baby doll,” RIOT MUSIC’s loveable goofball Yuka Nagase stepped and the Virtual Music Agency’s two strongest personalities began bantering it out  to the audience eating it up. They burst into a cover of “Oddloop” and offered some compelling choreography to go with the song. Safe to say Anko left a sharp impression  on the audience and left them wanting more  by the time she bid herself adieu.

Yuka Nagase, as she wanted to do, dragged the audience into her essence as she sang her 2023 original “Artificial Identity.” She’s always been skilled at crafting her own vibe but that vibe is even more palpable live. Fans were then treated to a new song called “2O’Clock” which, in her words, “evoked the tension of being awake at 2am.” Orange pen lights flashed every which way as she proceeded with a signature original, “Orange Scale ”, whose atmosphere in combination with a host of live video effects brought the concert into the next dimension. While everyone performed beautifully, Yuka Nagase’s performance was the most free-spirited, and forward thinking. Re:Volt offers a lot of different flavors, and this one best exemplifies its versatility as an experience.

A classical singer with a sharp, nuanced voice, Suzuna Nagihara brought the audience into her inner realm just as soon as she took the stage. Opening up with her original tune “PANDORA,” a song so all encompassing and expressive, the audience nearly drowned in the emotional swell of her voice alone. She continued with the first performance of her unheard original, “PRELUDE,” turning LINE Cube Shibuya into a true blue ocean of feeling! Despite the lighter tones of the song, once fans could take in how she sang, the fans assimilated into the sound; The natural, on-beat swaying of their penlights almost appeared to be a rehearsed part of the performance.

Seeing Suzuna Nagihara switch from her bubbly emcee’ing straight into the most heart-wrenching performances of the evening even impressed the staff; Truly RIOT MUSIC’s talent are multifaceted and have a holistic understanding of what’s needed to be a performer. Like Miona previously, added “I’m just so grateful to hear all your cheering this year,” met to huge applause by the audience. Gorgeous live piano accompanied Suzuna Nagihara’s final song of the evening, “Okeanos.”

RIOT MUSIC’s first artist, the elder star Cocoa Domyoji, took the stage as the final solo act of the night. A legend in her own lane, the audience went bonkers the second Cocoa took the stage! Double so, when belting out her original “Horizon,” a song necessitating a fierce vocal performance to best match its hard rock sound. Hers was not only that but in addition emotional, winning the hearts of every fan in the room.

Suzuna Nagihara stepped back on stage and RIOT MUSIC’s two most forceful voices joined together for a duet performance of “Saikai”. The affectionately pined about how much they loved performing together, despite it being difficult to match one another, but of course seeing and hearing the two together was nothing short of being a gift from the divine!

Cocoa Domyoji took center stage once again to perform two more original songs; Her retro-pop delight “Fall in Sunset” and the yet-unheard “In the dawn light.” The two are lyrically connected, and despite the former being a more breezy tune and the latter a quieter but heavier ditty, the two presented side by side presented a deep emotional contrast. You could see the excitement on her face as she debuted it to the world! Clearly, she looked forward to this one.

Iori Matsunaga, Yuka Nagase, Suzuna Nagihara, Anko Asakura, and Miona Sumeragi stepped out to perform one final tune with Cocoa Domyoji for the encore as Re:Volt 2023’s staggering two and a half hour runtime came to a climax! They performed “We are Here,” a first for the group as a whole to take on! Each real Re:Volt evolves, showcasing how far these delightful, hard working Virtual Singers have come as artists. The audience certainly left satisfied, perhaps frustrated that Re:Volt 2024 won’t come soon enough.

About RIOT MUSIC:

RIOT MUSIC dedicates itself to manifesting “songs that move you” as a music production company. Using the raw emotion our artists labor into their music to shake the soul, we strive to evoke unknown feelings.

If we change our emotions, we can change our actions, and if we change our actions, we can change our lives.

Our philosophy is to “create life-changing emotions!”

By transcending countries and generations, we desperately want to make the world a little bit of a better place by sculpting songs that anyone can find strength in. “RIOT OF EMOTIONS” carries that weight.

While the word “RIOT” may at times be used negatively, it carries sentiments of being “uninhibited”, “multi-colored,” and “captivating.” We’ll make songs with “multi-colored” “captivating” emotions that will “uninhibit” the walls in our hearts and start a more thoughtful “RIOT!”
