Smarprise signs a sponsorship agreement with Sint-Truiden VV (“STVV”), a soccer club in the Belgian First Division.

Smarprise, Inc., a company engaged in merchandise e-commerce platform business and merchandising business, is pleased to announce that it has concluded a sponsorship agreement with Sint-Truiden VV (STVV), a Belgian First Division soccer club founded in 1924.

The Aim of Sponsorship Agreement

Smarprise will aggressively promote its business in order to take on the challenge of global expansion starting in 2024.

Smarprise, which has as its purpose “to be a bridge for Japan’s leading content industry,” strongly empathizes with STVV’s challenge to create an opportunity to connect Japan and Belgium, as well as Japanese soccer, to the rest of the world, and has decided to enter into this sponsorship agreement.

Smarprise will continue to pursue the challenge to live up to STVV’s challenge.

About Sint-Truiden VV “STVV”

Founded in 1924, STVV is a soccer club in the first division of the Belgian Professional League. In November 2017, DMM.com, LLC acquired the management rights of the club, and in 2018, former FC Tokyo GM Takayuki Tateishi was appointed CEO. The five pillars of the company are strengthening the top team, enhancing the academy, building new business schemes, expanding the stadium, and technological innovation through the introduction of IT.

The team consists Japanese players such as Shinji Okazaki (formerly of FC Cartagena), Ryotaro Ito (formerly of Albirex Niigata), Ryoya Ogawa (formerly of FC Tokyo), Rihito Yamamoto (formerly of Gamba Osaka), Yoruchima Fujita (formerly of Yokohama F-Marinos), and Ayatsura Suzuki (formerly of Urawa Reds). The team finished the 2022-23 season in 12th place with 42 points. (11 wins, 9 draws, 14 losses, -3 goal difference, 37 goals scored, 40 goals conceded)
