Brave group fully launches ‘Brave global capital’ to build a global IP ecosystem.

Sasuke Shimomura appointed CSO of the Corporate Strategy Office, further accelerating management integration and capital/business alliances.

(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Keito Noguchi; hereafter ‘Brave group’) is launching ‘Brave global capital’ in earnest with the aim of building an IP ecosystem. Brave global capital is the collective name for Brave group’s investment projects, including management integration and capital/business alliances, and to accelerate this initiative, a Corporate Strategy Office has been established and Sasuke Shimomura has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Background

Brave group’s mission is to ‘break through to the hearts of 8 billion people’, and it is developing several businesses, including IP Production (VTuber business) , IP Platform and IP Solution, which have a high affinity with the VTuber business, and Incubation. The company is developing several businesses in the Incubation domain, both domestically and internationally.
Brave group started with one VTuber business in October 2017, and after eight M&As and business alliances with various companies, we have now launched this project with the desire to support businesses and companies that are challenging the world from Japan and creating excitement in the world, just like us.
We aim to become a global company from Japan by promoting M&As with a focus on the Contents, Global, Finance and Tech domains, which have a high affinity with our existing businesses.

IP ecosystems enabled by Brave global capital

IP Production operates a production business that delivers VTuber content and other content through IP production and talent management, it currently employs 170 talents working across 18 different projects.
IP Platform operates “colleize”, an e-commerce site specializing in official goods and officially licensed products such as anime and manga, and Brave stores, a business selling goods to overseas customers, providing a platform for delivering the content itself to users.
IP Solution is developing businesses that contribute to the diversification of monetisation and operational efficiency of VTuber content itself, in order to raise the profitability of IP.
We will continue to explore IP creation through a wide variety of services and media mixes, centered on IP Production, and build an ecosystem that maximizes the potential and profitability of IP.

Sasuke Shimomura, General Manager, Corporate Strategy Office @ Brave group

After graduating from Waseda University, he joined the Equity Research Department of Goldman Sachs & Co. He then worked at UUUM Corporation, where he was in charge of corporate planning, including company-wide budgeting, M&A and creator strategy. He also worked as an executive officer and CFO at SoVa Inc, where he was involved in finance operations since the company’s inception. In June 2024, he joined Brave group and has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer

 

Keito Noguchi, CEO, Brave group

While a student at Keio University in 2011, he founded Vapes Inc.
In 2016, he transferred the company’s business to Benesse Holdings Corporation, and after angel investing in and co-founding more than 50 start-ups, he was appointed Representative Director of Brave group Inc. in 2020
